Here, you'll find 44 self-guided walks, ranging from shorter, easier outings to longer routes across more rugged ground. Each walk includes parking details, clear directions, maps, GPX tracks, photos, and notes on what to look out for along the way.
All routes are based on first-hand experience, with local knowledge to help you get a little more from your time on Dartmoor.

Lydford High Down to Doe Tor Farm Ruins
A medium 3 mile walk including open moorland, good views, a couple of river crossings with bridges, old mines and ruined farm buildings.
Ingra Tor
A three mile circular walk over Walkhampton Common moorland, up to Leeden Tor and along via a burial cist to Ingra Tor, its quarry and railway station - then back via the abandoned railway with views over the Tamar valley and Cornwall.
Pullabrook Woods
A gentle, level walk of just over two miles on good paths through ancient woodland, including crossing a beautiful medieval packhorse bridge.
